Good coffee, Good Cause. This coffee is from the Central Plateau region and has a total of 680 farmers. Creating sustainable jobs in Haiti using Coffee, the cooperative is paid roughly 300% higher wages than the FT minimum - not out of charity but for having an exceptional product. Our Haiti Blue coffee is the same varietal of the Jamaica Blue Mountain and is shade grown in the blue pine forest, which is a rarity in Haiti to have that kind of forest cover.
We roast to a dark roast creating a mellow, smooth, and creamy body. Acidity is low, body is medium and complexity is medium. Roasted almonds, buttery mouthfeel. Sweet, smooth finish with astonishing balance.
